Hi, I’m Flo!

Planning family vacations is what I do best—so sit back, relax, and let me overthink this for you.

  • “We wanted a memorable Hawaii trip for our family of seven, but had no idea where to start. Flo completely eliminated the stress. She listened so closely to what we hoped for and planned each day with such care. Every activity was the perfect mix of fun and learning. We relied on her completely — and every single day was wonderful. If you’re visiting Hawaii, you need Flo!”

ISLAND COMPANIONS

The Framework I Use With Clients, Bottled

This is for you if:

  • You enjoy booking things yourself.
  • You just don’t have time to sift through 200 tabs.
  • You want clarity without giving up control.
  • You’re Type A but overwhelmed.
  • You can’t figure out where to stay on the island or how to piece days together correctly.
  • You want to know what’s worth it and what’s not.
  • You don’t need reservations managed.
  • You want curated direction, not micromanagement.
  • You want current, insider insight without full-service pricing.

What’s inside every Companion:

  • Where to Stay: Every hotel and resort I’d actually send a family to, broken down by region, with an honest read on who each one is right for. Including the ones I’d tell you to skip.
  • Book Ahead: The reservation windows that matter. What sells out, how far ahead, and what you can safely leave until you land.
  • Activities, Beaches, and Hikes: Sorted by what your kids can actually handle. Age limits, weight limits, park fees, and reservation rules, all in one place.
  • Luaus: Which ones are worth it, which ones are a bus tour with a buffet.
  • Flights and Travel Insurance: How to think about routing, timing, and whether coverage makes sense for your trip.
  • Honest Skips: The popular stuff I talk families out of every single week, and what to do instead.

You get it immediately. Read it in your browser, download the PDF, or pull it up in the free Trip Plans app on the plane. All three, one purchase. I update these as things change on the ground, so it doesn’t go stale between now and your trip.

Package #2 Investment

One island: $37 | All Four Islands: $97

Your $37 is credited toward full-service planning if you decide you want me to take the whole thing off your plate.
Not sure which island yet? Start with the quiz.

WHY PLANNING COSTS AND BOOKING DOESN’T

Planning is the work. A custom itinerary is weeks of research and dozens of moving pieces, every reservation timed so your days actually hold together. Then it’s the reservations themselves, the changes, the flight that shifts at 5am, the restaurant that cancels. That’s what you’re paying for, and it’s the whole point. You stop carrying it.

Booking your hotel is a smaller job, and it’s already built into what hotels pay advisors, so I don’t charge you for it. Same rate you’d pay booking direct. The perks come on top.
Either way, if a resort is wrong for your family, I’ll say so.

Package #3

Accommodation Bookings

Accommodation Research and Booking Service

This is for you if:

  • You’re overwhelmed by resort options.
  • You’re not sure what part of the island is best for your family.
  • You want complimentary perks and amenities like room upgrades, late/early checkout, $100 resort credits, and free daily breakfast.
  • You can’t tell which room category matters.
  • You want help comparing condo vs resort.
  • You want someone to advocate for access to high-priority rooms.
  • You’ve narrowed it down but want confirmation.
  • You don’t want to risk booking a hotel that’s too far from your excursions.
  • You don’t mind planning your own vacation but want better-than-Google guidance and direct access to a Hawaii-based travel planner while you’re here.

This personalized service includes:

  • Family Deep Dive: A detailed questionnaire (the same one I use for full-service clients) to understand your family’s travel style, priorities, budget, comfort, kids’ ages, and accomodation must-haves.
  • Handpicked Accommodation Bookings & VIP Perks: I manage all of your accommodation bookings and communication while unlocking exclusive perks and amenities via my travel advisor portal (Fora Travel, pro status).
  • Expert Guidance & Personalized Support: From thoughtful research and detailed price comparisons to personalized proposals, I’m with you every step of the way.

Ready to get started? We’ll chat about your vision, follow up with a questionnaire, and once you approve the proposal, I’ll take care of the reservations.

Package #3 Investment

Accommodation Research and Bookings: You pay the hotel’s regular rate. They pay me. You get the perks.

Already know where you want to stay? Send it over. I can often get you a room upgrade, early or late checkout, a resort credit, and daily breakfast at the same rate you’d pay booking direct. Sometimes I can’t, and I’ll tell you that too.

  • “Flo is truly the best Hawaii travel planner. She learned our family’s needs and designed an incredible multi-island adventure with experiences we never would’ve found on our own. At 74, seeing my family experience so much culture and beauty together was the ultimate gift.”

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’d like to get started before we chat, sort out your travel dates and do some flight research beforehand. You book the flights; I handle the rest.

I follow your lead. Many of my clients discover that a well-structured vacation actually gives them more freedom to be present and enjoy their downtime. However, itinerary design isn’t for everyone, and my Personalized Planning Guide allows you to make decisions as you go!

Great! Just mention them early in the planning process, and I’ll weave them in.

I don’t book airfare directly, but I can offer advice (Skyscanner is my go-to.) Most people hire me after their flights are locked in place.

Yes, I am a licensed travel agent through Fora Travel (pro status), which allows me to book on your behalf. I can also provide access to discounts, perks, and amenities.

Because planning is the work.
A custom itinerary takes weeks. Research, pacing, timing every reservation so your days hold together instead of fighting each other. Then it’s managing all of it, the changes, the cancellations, the 5am flight shift. The fee is what lets me do that properly for a small number of families instead of badly for a lot of them.
Booking your hotel is different. That one’s free, because it’s already covered by what hotels pay advisors.
What you’re really paying for: you stop carrying it.

All payments must be prepaid in full after a free consultation, a signed contract, and an agreed-upon delivery date. After the consultation, you will be emailed a payment link to secure your start date and allow me to start planning.

This is super common! We can discuss it during your consultation, or you can take this quiz beforehand.

No problem! Flexibility is key, and I’m here to make sure your vacation exceeds your expectations. I’ll always disclose any non-refundable cancellations or change fees, which would be your responsibility.

You choose the available delivery date, and I’ll make it happen.

Not at all! My planning process is collaborative. Some people like to stay very involved, and some prefer a more hands-off approach. You’re in control, I’ll adjust as needed.

My itinerary planning service is designed to cover your entire family vacation, with as much downtime and flexibility as you’d like. If you prefer to handle certain aspects yourself, my island companions would be a great fit for you.

Yep! Your itinerary will be available on the Trip Plans App, which works offline. You’ll also receive a PDF copy for added peace of mind, and I always recommend printing the PDF before you head out—just to be safe.

No problem. I can plan trips for large groups with a variety of preferences.

In most cases, my clients actually end up saving money! As a travel advisor, I have access to exclusive discounts, perks like resort credits, and even complimentary daily breakfast. Many clients hire me to ensure they know where to go without overpaying. Plus, time is money—and I can save you a lot of that.

If one of your reservations is canceled, I will notify you immediately, and the company will issue a refund. While I don’t work directly for hotels or tour companies and can’t control the weather, people, or logistics, I’m happy to research and rebook on your behalf if needed. I always recommend purchasing trip insurance for extra peace of mind!

Unforeseen circumstances happen (trip insurance is your friend)! If I’ve handled your bookings, I’ll also take care of the cancellation process. Please note that my travel planning packages are non-refundable, as the time invested can’t be erased. However, I’m happy to apply your payment to a future travel date and adjust your plans as needed.

I specialize in Hawaii travel only. Most of my clients book vacations to the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, or Big Island (Hawaii Island). But I can also arrange travel to the Hawaiian islands of Lanai and Molokai. Some families choose to island-hop and visit multiple islands during one vacation.

Prices and availability in Hawaii rarely improve with time, so the earlier, the better. A general rule of thumb is six months to a year in advance. That said, I’ve planned some epic last-minute vacations. It can be done!

A trip to Hawaii isn’t cheap, no matter how you slice it. For a family of four, a ten-day vacation can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 (or more), depending on your travel style. However, there are plenty of ways to save, like using points for flights, choosing vacation rentals with full kitchens, and more.

The answer depends heavily on your family’s vacation style and budget. However, Hawaii is never something you want to rush! Given factors like flight/drive time, jet lag, time differences, and downtime, I suggest a full seven days for one island. If you plan to visit two islands, opt for ten. Three islands is a lot, but it’s been done, and for this, I suggest nothing shorter than two weeks.

There truly is no bad time to visit Hawaii! Many of my clients visit over spring/fall/summer break when their kids are out of school, but it’s important to note that prices are often higher and it’s busier during these times. The easiest time to visit Hawaii is during its shoulder seasons: April-May and September-early October. This is when the islands are less crowded and rainy, and prices tend to drop a bit. But if you’re working around your kid’s school schedule or have other plans, don’t stress it. Hawaii is always a good idea.
